REZFEST 2017
On Sunday, October 8th, the Foundation held it's second REZFEST at Harp & Fiddle in Bethesda, MD. This year, we partnered with three amazing organizations and had representation from each one. We welcomed,
Donna Hollis, Director of Student Affairs from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts.
Tamara Wilds Lawson, Director of Posse (DC)
Forrest "AJ" Parker, Jr., Branch Director of The Martin K. Alloy Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington
and, had representation from the Reznick family and Steven Reznick spoke on behalf of his siblings.
As you will read on our project page, we successfully partnered with these organizations to help those in most financial need either directly or through one of their programs to help a student get to college. It was David's hope that all young adults would be able to succeed and achieve their goals and dreams.
We are pleased to announce we gave our first DAVID REZNICK FOUNDATION AWARD in HOUSING to Enterprise Homes, Inc. for their commitment in preserving affordable housing. Chickie Grayson, CEO and Christine Madigan, Executive VP of Development, along with some of the Enterprise team accepted on behalf of Enterprise Homes, Inc. Earlier this year, Enterprise acquired a portfolio of 41 properties, not only allowing jobs to be kept but ensured affordable housing would always be available.
It was a spectacular evening. Representation from BISNOW - The Scene (who we also have a partnership with) was on hand to report on our event, loads of clients, friends and family attended.
Mark and I cannot thank you all enough for your support. It means so much to us. We want the David Reznick Foundation to continue giving back to others, make this event bigger and better and, make a difference in people's lives. Without you, this is not possible.
